New Article Comparing Endurance Training with Wealth-Building

Grant Conness and A. Montgomery Costa, Managing Directors and Co-Founders of Global Wealth Management, Publish a New Article Comparing Endurance Training with Wealth-Building

Fort Lauderdale, FL– April 20, 2018  Grant Conness and A. Montgomery Costa, Co-Founders of Global Wealth Management, a Fort Lauderdale-based financial planning firm, recently published an article on their website entitled “Why Endurance Training & Wealth-Building Are More Alike Than You Might Think.”

It might seem like a stretch to try and correlate endurance training with wealth-building. However, in their recent article, Grant Conness and A. Montgomery do just that, referencing an article by Larry Weber, “What Endurance Athletes Can Teach Us About Building Wealth”.

The first commonality they refer to is that both endurance training and wealth-building require a commitment to big goals. They explain how this trait is common to both, saying that with each you must, “Set challenging goals and go after them with courage and determination.”

Another comparison they make is that with both objectives, you can’t afford to buy into the idea of “instant success.” The duo elaborates, “Truly, big goals often require big action—or a series of actions over an extended period of time. Rarely, do people just ‘become’ endurance runners overnight. Likewise, wealth-building is also most often a process of smart decisions and dedicated effort. Rarely, does it happen in an instant either.”

Other similarities they discuss in the piece are the ideas of working with a coach to help accelerate success and the concept of ‘pacing yourself’ to victory. In regard to the latter, they specifically explain that the “fastest runner” does not always win the race, either in endurance training or in regard to wealth-building. Instead, a more steady, even, approach is commonly the most recommended path to achievement.
