Feeding South Florida
Feeding South Florida is the sole Feeding America food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. It is the largest and most efficient food bank in each of those counties. More than 98% of all donations are put back into the community. For every $1 donated, they can provide six meals.
Through direct-service programs and a network of nonprofit partner agencies, including soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters and daycares, Feeding South Florida rescues 44 million pounds of food per year, leads hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and provides innovative programming and education.
OneBlood
OneBlood is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community asset responsible for providing safe, available and affordable blood to more than 200 hospital partners and their patients throughout most of Florida, parts of Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
OneBlood distributes nearly 1 million blood products annually, employs more than 2,000 people, operates more than 80 donor centers and deploys nearly 200 signature Big Red Buses throughout service areas for blood drives.
The Jason Taylor Foundation
The foundation’s mission is to support and create programs that facilitate the personal growth and empowerment of South Florida’s children in need by focusing on improved health care, education and quality of life. Since opening its doors, the Jason Taylor Foundation has contributed nearly $6 million in programs and services to benefit youth. With Jason’s undying commitment and the continued support of community members and civic leaders alike, the Jason Taylor Foundation will work tirelessly to achieve its goal of building a better future for the youth of South Florida.
Racing for Cancer
Racing for Cancer’s mission is reflected in its motto: “Helping Pick Up the Pace … One Fan at a Time!” The organization is committed to donating 100% of its net proceeds, raised through various fundraising programs, to promote and launch early detection and prevention initiatives. Racing for Cancer also strives to promote awareness and the eradication of childhood cancer.
Kids in Distress
Kids In Distress of Broward and Palm Beach counties (KID) is a licensed, nationally accredited agency working for the prevention of child abuse, preservation of the family, and the treatment of abused and neglected children. From our beginnings as a small shelter in 1979, KID programs have expanded into a comprehensive continuum of care that fills the gaps and meets the needs of at-risk children and families in our community.
Women in Distress
Women In Distress is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full-service domestic violence center serving Broward County. The organization’s mission is to stop domestic violence abuse for everyone through intervention, education and advocacy. It strives to accomplish this mission through a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter program, individual counseling, support groups and professional trainings aimed at educating the community on domestic violence.
